If you’re feeling frustrated about the state of our country, you’re in the right place. Corruption in government didn’t happen to us, our complacency happened to it.
West Michigan Action Conservatives was founded by a group of locally engaged conservative citizens on the idea of taking the concept of self-government seriously.
What is an “Action Conservative?” An action conservative is YOU. A step above a conservative voter, you are a motivated conservative that cares about the future of this country for the sake of your children, your neighbor, your religious liberty, your Constitutional rights, your survival as a free person created in the image of God, and you’re willing to give up a little bit of your free time and comfort zone to help repair our damaged country.
It is our goal to educate and give every single conservative, liberty-loving voter in Kent County (and beyond) the information and tools they need to become an “action conservative,” plugged into at least one area that moves our values forward. It is painfully true that the left has been better at grassroots organizing than the right for years, but we will change that because we must.
An organized citizenry is a citizenry that gets results.
We are an unengaged electorate no longer. Welcome to the action.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world”
Preserving the conservative values that built this country takes a wide variety of people and skillsets. Here are just a few examples of ways you can get involved with the political process.
Support a political candidate that shares your values.
The Importance of School Boards
Find out why becoming involved at the school board level is so critical for the future of our kids.
Influence the decisions and policies of the Republican Party of Michigan.
Find upcoming legislation to advocate for or against.
Political and civic engagement is an important aspect of self-government, but there are many other impactful ways to support and improve your community. Shopping and supporting local businesses and farmers (this isn’t just a good idea but may also prove incredibly vital to ensuring access to basic necessities and services in the future).
Starting, joining or supporting a homeschool co-op, learning or teaching an essential skill, starting a community group or Bible study with your neighbors or members of your township/county. Get creative! Any dollar or amount of time diverted to empowering your community instead of a national corporation will have lasting positive impact.
The primary purpose of WMAC is to connect conservatives with meaningful ways they can invest their time to make their communities more free, their elected representatives more responsive to their voters and help uphold rights for all by organizing together.
Good, vetted candidates do need financial support as well, and WMAC takes the position that conservatives should donate to these candidates directly rather than to political parties.
If you are also interested in supporting WMAC financially, we welcome your contribution, and all donations will be used for ongoing expenses such as website hosting, mailings, renting spaces in West Michigan to gather and do in-person grassroots training/education, vendor space at events.
We will post quarterly reports detailing expenses here. WMAC is set up as a non-profit political organization, so this means we are able to endorse and support specific candidates, but donations are not tax exempt. Feel free to contact us with any questions.

It is our goal to be the central resource for every conservative, liberty-loving voter in and around Kent County who want to find opportunities that really make a difference. Every two weeks we’ll send an update with local candidate information, volunteer opportunities, and training events that seek to restore Constitutional values and accountability to our local community.
